Mezzo-soprano Elizabeth DiFronzo makes role and company debuts this season as Flora Bervoix in La Traviata and Tisbe in La Cenerentola at Miami Lyric Opera, Curra in La Forza del Destino with Atlantic Coast Opera Festival, Dritte Dame in Die Zauberflöte with the Children’s Philharmonic of New Jersey, and La Maestra delle Novizie in Suor Angelica with Opera West! in Santa Fe. Ms. DiFronzo also appeared with the Capital Arts London choir as the soloist in Shank’s cantata, Song of Mary, at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York.

Highlights from recent seasons include Miss Todd in The Old Maid and the Thief with Saint George Opera, Mother Goose in The Rake’s Progress and The Sorceress in Dido and Aeneas with Frost Opera Theater, and Florence Pike in Albert Herring with Spotlight on Opera. Ms. DiFronzo has performed song recitals in Texas and Florida, featuring Ravel’s Shéhérazade, Heggie’s The Deepest Desire, and Mahler’s Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen. An accomplished choral singer, she has performed with the Arizona Bach Festival, MusicaNova Orchestra, and the Grammy Award-winning Phoenix Chorale. 

Ms. DiFronzo earned a Master of Music degree in Classical Vocal Performance from the University of Miami Frost School of Music and a Bachelor of Music degree from Texas State University and is based in New York City.
